Lauren is pleased to be competing in the World Para Reining International Team Championships. The first ever event is hosted by the AQHA at the 2016 AQHA World Show November 12th-14th in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The competition will be in World Equestrian Games format including a draw and jog (Nov. 12th), team competition (Nov 13th) and individual competition (Nov 14th) as riders compete for medals and thousands of dollars in prizes, including a saddle to the winner of the Individual competition, donated by Continental Saddlery.

Para Reining does not have the word Para in it to represent the word Paraplegic or any disability for that matter. Para is the shortened version of PARALLEL! What a true Para rider strives for is the ability to coexist in a world where sometimes they may not have the ability to do things equally. Our Reining horses give us freedoms and equality…..Para-Reining is best represented when we see riders integrated into Reining programs naturally and equally. This is what we strive for and this is what true Para represents.
